Setting Up Your Waitlist

3 min readUpdated Mar 12, 2026

Overview

Your waitlist is more than an email list — it's a ranked queue with built-in referral mechanics and engagement tracking. Here's how to set it up.

Enabling the waitlist

  • Open your project and go to **Settings → Waitlist**.
  • Toggle **Enable Waitlist** to on.
  • Choose your waitlist mode:
  • - **Simple** — First come, first served. No queue positions shown.

    - **Ranked** — Subscribers see their queue position and can move up by referring friends.

    - **VIP** — Manual approval. You review each signup before they join.

    Configuring the signup form

    Under **Settings → Signup Form**:

  • **Required fields** — Email is always required. Toggle name, company, or custom fields.
  • **Double opt-in** — When enabled, subscribers must confirm their email before joining the queue.
  • **Welcome redirect** — Optionally redirect to a thank-you page after signup.

  • Referral mechanics

    To enable the referral engine:

  • Go to **Settings → Referrals**.
  • Toggle **Enable Referral Links** to on.
  • Set the **queue jump reward** — how many positions a subscriber moves up per referral (default: 3).
  • Optionally set a **milestone reward** (e.g., "Refer 5 friends → get early access").

  • Managing your list

The **Subscribers** tab shows everyone who signed up, their queue position, referral count, and email engagement metrics. You can:

  • Export to CSV
  • Tag subscribers manually
  • Remove or block entries
  • Push to connected CRMs (HubSpot, Pipedrive)
