Creating Your First Landing Page

4 min readUpdated Mar 15, 2026

Overview

Getting your first landing page live on GetLaunchDay takes less than five minutes. The AI-powered builder handles layout, copy, and design — so you can focus on your idea.

Step-by-step guide

1. Start a new project

From your dashboard, click **New Project**. Give it a name (e.g., "FitTrack — AI workout planner") and an optional one-liner that describes the idea.

2. Choose a template or start from AI

You have two options:

  • **Pick a template** — Browse 12+ professionally designed templates organized by industry. Click one to preview, then select.
  • **Generate with AI** — Describe your idea in 1-2 sentences. GetLaunchDay's AI will generate a complete page with headline, subheadline, feature blocks, social proof, and CTA.

  • 3. Customize sections

The editor uses a visual section-based approach:

  • **Drag to reorder** sections
  • **Click any text** to edit inline
  • **Swap images** by clicking the placeholder
  • **Toggle sections** on/off with the eye icon

  • 4. Configure your signup form

Under **Settings → Signup Form**, choose what fields to collect. By default we capture just email, but you can add name, company, role, or up to 7 custom fields.

    5. Set your URL

You get a free `yourproject.getlaunchday.com` subdomain. You can also connect a custom domain later under **Settings → Domain**.

    6. Publish

Click **Publish** in the top-right corner. Your page goes live instantly. Share the link and start collecting signups.

    Tips for a high-converting page

  • **Keep the headline benefit-first.** Don't describe the product — describe the outcome.
  • **Add social proof early.** Even "Join 50+ founders on the waitlist" works.
  • **Use one CTA.** Too many buttons kill conversion.
  • **Enable the referral engine** to turn signups into a viral loop.
