Developer Advocate

About the role

We're hiring our first Developer Advocate to be the voice of GetLaunchDay in the developer and founder communities. You'll create content, build demos, improve our documentation, and represent us at events and online.

This is equal parts technical and creative. You need to be able to code a demo, write a tutorial, record a video, and engage authentically on social media — all in the same week.

What you'll do

Create technical content — tutorials, guides, video walkthroughs, and blog posts

Build demo projects and sample code that showcase the API and integrations

Improve and maintain developer documentation

Represent GetLaunchDay at conferences, meetups, and online communities

Engage with developers on Twitter/X, Discord, and forums

Collect developer feedback and relay it to the product team

Build relationships with indie hackers, YouTubers, and content creators

Host and participate in livestreams, AMAs, and webinars

What we're looking for

2+ years in developer relations, developer advocacy, or technical content

Ability to code — proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript minimum

Strong writing skills — blog posts, documentation, social threads

Video creation experience (YouTube, Loom, or screen recording tutorials)

Active online presence in developer or founder communities

Excellent public speaking and presentation skills

Empathy for developers — you understand their frustrations and needs

Nice to have

Existing audience on Twitter, YouTube, or a newsletter

Experience with Next.js, React, and modern web development

Founder or indie hacker background

Experience writing API documentation

Conference speaking experience
