Your waitlist is growing. Now what?

Collecting emails is step one. Converting those subscribers into customers is the real game. These 5 email sequences have been proven across thousands of GetLaunchDay campaigns.

Sequence 1: The Welcome Series (3 emails)

**Email 1 (Instant):** Welcome + queue position + referral link. Short, warm, and actionable.

**Email 2 (Day 2):** Your story. Why you're building this. What problem it solves. Make it personal.

**Email 3 (Day 5):** Early access offer or exclusive content. Reward them for being early.

Sequence 2: The Social Proof Drip

Send user-generated content as it comes in. Each email shares a testimonial, a milestone, or a community achievement. This builds FOMO and reinforces their decision to sign up.

Sequence 3: The Education Series

Teach them something related to your product's domain. If you're building a finance app, send personal finance tips. If it's a productivity tool, share workflow hacks. Value first, pitch second.

Sequence 4: The Launch Countdown

Start 7 days before launch. Daily emails with increasing urgency:

  • Day -7: "One week to launch"
  • Day -3: "Final preparations"
  • Day -1: "Tomorrow's the day"
  • Day 0: "We're live! 🚀"
  • Sequence 5: The Post-Launch Conversion

After launch, target subscribers who haven't converted:

  • Day +1: "Did you see? We launched."
  • Day +3: "Limited early-bird pricing"
  • Day +7: "Last chance for launch pricing"
  • Key metrics to track

  • **Open rate** — Above 40% is excellent for a waitlist audience
  • **Click rate** — Above 5% shows real engagement
  • **Unsubscribe rate** — Below 1% per email is healthy
  • **Reply rate** — Replies are gold. Encourage them.
